Hawley School Association

Hawley School Association is responsible for the organisation and running of community and fundraising events for the school. All parents/carers of children attending Hawley Primary School are automatically a member of the HSA and to become an active member, all you have to do is take part in the events.

If you are able, it would be great to see you at our meetings, but equally you can show your support and be actively involved by volunteering to help at events (perhaps spending half an hour on a stall at the Christmas Fayre), or helping a member of the committee in the planning and organising of an event. When your child first starts school it can be a little daunting to attend a meeting where people seem to know what they are doing, making decisions and organising. The main thing to remember is that all those involved have been there too and they are very aware of what it can be like to make the first step to becoming involved.  The common driver is that every single person involved wants to make a positive difference for our school.

Each year we look for new ideas, or twists on old favourites, so that the children and parents have something new and exciting to be involved in each year.  If you would like to and are able to provide your time, ideas or sponsorship, then please come along, your input would be very welcome.

This year we have been delighted to see the money that we have raised go towards the new Imaginary Playzone which is next to the pathway into school.

Going forwards our main goal is to complete fundraising for even more IT equipment, to give all the children greater access to IT facilities.  We would also like to contribute to smaller school projects, along with our usual annual support of pantomime ice-creams, the Year 6 Leaver's events and Christmas and Easter gifts.

If you are able to offer your time, or would like to find out more, please contact Betina McEvoy 07793 848776 or alternatively just find one of the team on the playground.
