Year 3 and 4 Visit Butser Ancient Farm
The children in Year 3 and 4 visited Butser Ancient at the beginning of March to support their work on the Romans and Celts. They experienced what life would have been like inside a celtic roundhouse and had a go at making a wattle and daub fence and spinning wool. The children also had the opportunity to hand carve a picture in a piece of chalk as the celts would have done. "I enjoyed mixing the mud, hay and fleece togother to make the daub the best even though the celts would have used cow dung instead of mud" recalled Ryan in Year 4.

Eco Chiefs visit Kallo Foods
Our Eco Chiefs recently visited Kallo Foods on the Meadows Business Park to further develop the ties between us. During the visit the children had a chance to get to grips with some of the products sold by the company, as well as ask questions and even pass judgement on some of the comany's latest packaging designs! Ann Chambers from Kallo Foods enjoyed the visit and said she is looking forward to meeting with the Eco Chiefs again soon.
