Happiness Heroes
At Hawley Primary School, our Happiness Heroes are a dedicated group of pupils who work together to help make our school a joyful, inclusive and supportive place for everyone.
They are the pupil voice for myHappymind and play an important role in helping us to make sure that children across our school feel happy, valued, listened to and supported.
What We Do:
Our Happiness Heroes:
- Represent their class during myHappymind meetings, sharing ideas, views and feedback from their classmates.
- Work with their class and across the school to help ensure that children are happy and listened to.
- Help to make sure that myHappymind is alive across our school, putting the programme's messages and learning into everyday practice.
- Lead the way in helping fellow pupils to look after their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
- Promote kindness, respect, inclusion and positive relationships across the school.
- Gather feedback from pupils about how we can make school life even happier.
- Complete myHappymind missions and help our school to work towards important accreditations and achievements.
- Fly the flag for myHappymind, helping to spread its positive messages throughout our school community.
Playground Buddies:
Our Happiness Heroes also support our Playground Buddy initiative.
Playground Buddies help children who may be unsure who to play with or who would like some extra support at lunchtime. They help pupils find someone to play with, join in games and feel included.
They are friendly faces on the playground who help make lunchtimes a positive experience for everyone.
Our Biggest Achievement This Year:
We are incredibly proud of our Happiness Heroes and the important contribution they have made to our school community.
Following their hard work, dedication and commitment to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing, we are delighted that our school is now Platinum Accredited with myHappymind!
Our Happiness Heroes have helped bring myHappymind to life across the school by gathering pupil and staff voices, sharing ideas, supporting wellbeing activities and encouraging everyone to put our myHappymind learning into action.
Their enthusiasm and leadership have helped us create a school where happiness, wellbeing, kindness and belonging really matter.
We are proud to be a myHappymind Platinum Accredited setting!
This means that as a setting, we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our children as one of our top priorities. We have created a whole setting culture that helps build our children's resilience, confidence and self-esteem, as well as teaching them how to self-regulate in those stressful times.
This accreditation badge has been awarded thanks to all the effort our staff, children, governors and parents have put in to bring myHappymind to life all around our setting!
